Kids Recipe: Sparkle Bread

OK so there is nothing to do, and your kids are complaining once again that they are board! Here is a great recipe me and my kids made up. We call it Sparkle Bread. They like making it because it's fun, creative and something they can do with little or no help. For little girls you can even make them and use them for a tea party, or for little boys it can be a fun time snack!

Sparkle Bread Recipe:

Here is what you will need:

  1. Slices of Bread
  2. Candy Sprinkles
  3. Butter or Margarine
  4. Cookie Cutters of all shapes and sizes

If you would prefer not to use butter, you can use alternative toppings like peanut butter, nutella, or even marshmellow cream.

  • To get started all you have to do is pick out the shapes you would like to use from your cookie cutters. For little girls, flowers & hearts are fun. For little boys, cars & dinosaurs are always a big hit.

  • Now that you have your cookie cutter shapes picked out, just cut the shapes into your bread slices. It is very easy, and kids can do it by themselves!

  • Next, you want to spread your fun shapes with butter or any alternative topping you would like to use.

  • Now your almost finished. Choose what ever candy sprinkles you would like to use and decorate your bread. You can mix and match different kind of sprinkles. Just let the kids use their imagination and sprinkle away! They have lots of neat sprinkles on the market today. You can find stars, dots, little balls and tons of other shapes and flavors!

Your all finished. Now sit back and watch your kids eyes Sparkle when they eat the wonderful snack they created. My kids love doing this, and I hope your kids do too!

Getting Paid to Write

Well I've been reading about some people making a bit of extra money online by writing articles, reviews, and ect. online. I figured I'd give it a try. I signed up with Associated Content. The pay isn't a lot, but I figure something is better than nothing. I believe it is $1.50 per 1000 hits. You'd have to check out their specifics to be sure. So far I have written a kids recipe and a book review. I am currently waiting to see how it goes. They haven't approved my articles yet. They say it can take a couple of days. Once I find out how it all works, and if it is worth it, I will post and let everyone know. I figured it would help me with my writing. I'd like to be a better writer, and I figured the it would give me some good practice.

Dial Up Dinosaur

Where have I been your might ask? Well I have been left behind in the middle ages with only dial up Internet access! I never realized just how much dial up resembles a dinosaur. It is truly something that seems exstint. Pictures, omg what are those? Trying to download a picture is nearly impossible. Even trying to access my own blog takes FOREVER! Please everyone, keep your fingers crossed. My new DSL service is suppose to be up and ready Feb. 28th. I am counting the days, hours and minutes. You might want to say a prayer too that I can figure out how to set it up, or that my brother in law is off that day :). He is my go to guy for tech stuff. I believe I am starting to go through withdrawal. I cannot get to some of my favorite sites, and I swear I am developing a twitch! Hopefully, all goes well I can start posting again. If it doesn't, you might have to check me into the local mental hospital. I will go crazy if I have to live on dial up much longer.

Beautiful Day

Omg, it is such a beautiful day! It's amazing how just seeing the sunshine can rejuvenate you. At least for today the winter blahs are gone. It is an amazing 61 degrees, which feels like summer, after the long cold winter. Driving around I noticed all the people with their car window rolled down. I even seen someone with flip flops and shorts!
To celebrate, we are have steaks on the grill. Yummy mushrooms, grilled onions, kaiser rolls and french fries will top off our feast. Funny how the weather can spice up your mood! I went from feeling icky, blah, and a bit depressed yeterday, to feeling wonderful, happy and almost giddy today. I believe I might even have a cocktail after dinner. I haven't had one in years!

Yummy Burger King!

Well I got my Burger King GC that I won from Scholastic! We used it the same day, lol. The kids couldn't wait. I was also impressed with the fact that my bill came to $24.95, and my GC was for $25.00, how is that for adding it up in your head! The kids even had dessert! I brought home crowns for everyone, and much to my surprise they all wore them. It was a fun night. We ate, chatted and laughed. I figured I put some pictures up, of my Princesses and Prince!
